Acne Reviews - 3 Acne Treatments that Work

After many requests as to what the best acne treatments were, I decided to do some clinical trials myself. Here you will find reviews of the top three products that we tested, along with the methods we used to test these products. This page provides a general overview of our results. Overview of Acne Treatment Reviews

To test the products I started with a test group of 30 subjects, and altogether we tested 8 products. Each subject was given two products to test, and they were to use the two products in conjunction with each other; treating one side of the face/body with one product and the other side with the second product. The subjects were provided with a sheet to record their results after each week. The acne product reviews listed here are the top three from those tests.

Unfortunately the other products did not provide enough results to justify us reviewing them or promoting them in any way. Even worse, the bottom two products are both heavily advertised on TV and are touted to be good acne treatments.

The thing to notice with all of the top three acne treatments is that they all include a natural element. This just re-iterates what the idea that I have long held as truth "The best acne cures include more than just a cleanser, and they always include a natural element to the solution".

Results of our tests were measured in reduction of blemishes over a 2 month period of time. We could have went the more scientific way and measured actual reduction in oils, etc. But it was decided by myself, and my test subjects, that the ultimate goal of any acne treatment is to reduce the embarrassment cause by zits, blackheads, and whiteheads. For that reason we measured our results in % reductions averaged between all of our subjects.

Although Clear Pores was clearly the winner in the statistics (by a small margin), I would not hesitate to recommend any of the following three products. In fact I suggest you try more than one to see which works best for your particular skin/body type.

Acne Review Clear Pores

The winner of our acne product reviews is a product called Clear Pores.This product is actually very similar to the next one on our list, but Clear Pores has one distinct advantage over the Healthy Pores or Acnezine. This product is available in kits for different kinds of acne, and doesn't just try to provide a general acne treatment. There are solutions available for sufferers of back acne and facial acne. This makes Clear Pores a more rounded solution when compared to the other two on our list.

Here are the results of our tests from our tests:

Severe Acne Sufferers - Showed an average of 85% reduction in blemishes over a 2 month period. Most experienced this within the first 3 weeks, and this is the reason Clear Pores tops our list.

Facial Acne Sufferers (not severe)- Showed an average of 92% reduction in blemishes within the first month of our tests. Those with less severe cases of acne were cured completely

Body Acne - Showed an average of 92% reduction in blemishes within the first month. Again the less severe cases were freed of the bonds of acne.

Acne Review Healthy Pores

The next product on our list is a product called Healthy Pores. All in all this one performed almost as well as Clear Pores, but with one exception. With the absence of a body-specific acne cure, it did not perform as well for sufferers of body acne. Another difference with this product is that it includes tea tree oil in the protection cream. This very likely could account for the differences in the treatment of body acne.

Here are the results from our tests:

Severe Acne Sufferers - Sufferers of severe acne experienced an 82% reduction in facial blemishes but only a 65% reduction in body acne. These numbers are still quite high, so Healthy Pores is an effective acne treatment.

Facial Acne (not severe) - For testers with mild to moderate cases of facial acne, close to a 89% reduction in blemishes was achieved in the first month. Many of the less severe cases were cured completely.

Body Acne - The testers who suffered from less severe cases of body acne, a 73% reduction in blemishes was experienced. Again these results were achieved in the first month.
